SWIFTPREMIER Warranty
Swift Sport Optics warrants all SwiftPremier HP (High Performance) and SwiftPremier binoculars and spotting scopes from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of Twenty Five (25) years.
SWIFTRELIANT Warranty
Swift Sport Optics warrants all SwiftReliant products from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of Five (5) years. This includes all SwiftReliant binoculars, spotting scopes, riflescope and pistol scopes.
RIFLESCOPE AND PISTOLSCOPE WARRANTY REPAIR AND SERVICE
All service, repair and returned merchandise must be issued a Return For Inspection number (RFI). Please contact us at 877.MYSWIFT (877.697.9438), or by email, info@swift-sportoptics.com to receive your RFI. All merchandise sent without a valid RFI will be returned to the shipper.
Please include the following when returning your Swift rifle or pistol scope for inspection:
1. RFI number clearly printed on the outside of the package.
2. A check/money order for $25.00 to cover shipping, handling, and inspection.
3. A brief explanation of the defect.
Please pack your merchandise carefully to prevent damage in transit. If for some reason your merchandise is not covered under warranty, you will be contacted with low cost options for repair or replacement.

If a defect arises and a valid claim is received, at its option, Swift will either (1) Repair the product defect at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts or (2) Exchange the product with a product that is new or which has been manufactured from new or serviceable used parts and is at least functionally equivalent to the original product.
Swift products purchased outside North America are not included in this warranty, but are covered under separate warranties issued by Swift International, BV. Please call your local International Distributor for details. This warranty gives you specific rights. You may have other rights which vary from state to state. Swift reserves the right to change product specifications or to discontinue products without prior notice.
WARRANTY CONDITIONS
Warranty covers only those defects which arise as a result of normal use of the product, and do not apply to any product (1) which has been repaired or altered unless done or approved by Swift, (2) which has not been maintained in accordance with any operating or handling instruction provided by Swift, (3) which has been altered or damaged by accident, (4) which has been subjected to unusual physical stress, misuse, abuse, or negligence or (5) which has been used other than in accordance with the product operating and handling instructions.
ITEMS NOT COVERED include but are not limited to: product alignment, general cleaning and maintenance of the product, carrying/neck straps, ocular and objective lens covers/protective dust caps, general wear and tear of rubber eyecups/eye pieces, pouches and/or cases.
Yesterday a colleague on the MacAdmins Slack asked for some help creating a package that would both install and register DetectX Swift (DTXS) all in one shot. He was having trouble getting it to work with Jamf Composer even though a couple of us agreed that in theory his method should be working.
While admins are able to easily register DTXS after installation using management tools, in my case Munki and in his Addigy, the goal was to create a package that could be installed manually by less savvy techs or sporadically as needed via Apple Remote Desktop (ARD).

I learned this method of packaging from Armin Briegel‘s great book, Packaging for Apple Administrators. I highly recommend purchasing it (and his other books) on Apple Books. To start, setup your directory structure like below:
Copy the latest version of DetectX Swift.app into the Applications folder and then create the following two files:
Edit the version number for the current version of DTXS you are packaging and optionally customize the identifier if you want it to be specific to your usage. If you are signing the package add your signing certificate information or otherwise remove line 15 completely.

Enter your DTXS registration key and email address in the postinstall file.
Once everything is in place, run ./build-DetectXSwift.sh to create the package: DetectXSwift-1.089.pkg

The resulting package will install DTXS into the Applications folder and register it with your Pro or Management license. It can be deployed remotely via ARD or users with administrative privileges can double click the package to install it manually.
Please take care in distributing the package because your DTXS registration key can be easily extracted with relatively little effort.
The downside of this method is that it isn't automated. You'll need to replace the application, update the build script and create a new package anytime DTXS is updated. But since this is intended for infrequent use you could always just wait until the need arises to build instead of creating a new package for every update.
